02 About

A one-man business, powered by AI.

This site is the front door of a one-man, AI-powered business dedicated to improving the world through data, analytics, and AI. I pair 26 years of hands-on architecture with an AI-augmented workflow — so one senior operator delivers what used to take a team, without the team's overhead or hand-offs.

I turn intractable data problems into working systems — earning a patent along the way while leading innovation for Fortune 500 enterprises and small, family-owned businesses alike. Whether you're hiring for a senior role or scoping an engagement, what you see is what you get: one accountable expert, amplified by the same AI I'll put to work for you.

Outside of work, I served as a Rescue Task Force medic until retiring in 2026. Same instinct, different stakes: stay calm, read the system, act.

03 Work

Ryan Gomez & Co.

An independent technology and AI consultancy — me, directly, with 26 years of data architecture and delivery experience behind every engagement. No account managers, no junior bench: you get a senior operator who has shipped this stack across healthcare, media, insurance, and finance, and who's currently available for new engagements.

I take on a small number of clients at a time — full-time roles, fractional/advisory engagements, and fixed-scope projects — in data architecture, GenAI system design, and data strategy. If you're stuck between a demo and production, or building a data platform that has to hold up at scale, let's talk.

Flagship Project

Crossfoot

Democratizing publicly funded healthcare data.

US law requires health plans to disclose how the system actually runs — then the disclosures scatter across payer websites in formats nobody reads. Crossfoot crawls, normalizes, and validates that legislatively mandated reporting into datasets anyone can check and use, starting with prior-authorization denials. Every rate is computed in code from extracted counts and traced to the payer's own documents — no middleman between the public and its own data.

05 Rescue Medic

Rescue Task Force Medic (Ret.)

Alongside architecting data systems, I served as a tactical medic until retiring in 2026 — the same instinct for staying composed under pressure that I bring to enterprise systems.
